Monthly Gatherings
On the third Saturday of every month, excepting December, SEMM holds monthly gatherings. In July, we hold our SEMMer Bash at Kensington Metropark. In January, we have our Winter Bash at locations around the area. In March, we hold our annual elections and games night. In all other months, there is a speaker who treats us to a topic of their speciality.
Location
The location has varied from year-to-year, but we are currently using the Northwest Unitarian Universalist Church in Southfield for our meetings. (Our programs are not official programs of NUUC.) NUUC is located at 23925 Northwestern Highway, Southfield, Mich. 48075.
After our meetings, we typically adjourn to Shield’s Restaurant Bar Pizzeria at 25101 Telegraph Road (just north of 10 Mile), Southfield, Mich. 48034.
Admissions
Admissions is typically $3 for SEMM members, $4 for non-members. SEMM members receive $1 off during their birth month.
Past Gatherings
For many years, the vice president Harley Berger has been providing our speakers. In 2003, SEMM was awarded a Community Activity Program award for his services and speakers. Following is a list of those speakers and topics from 2003 to the present.
